Preheat the grill to medium heat.

  • Prepare the mushrooms by removing the stalks. Place mushrooms gills down on a baking tray and place under the grill for about 10 minutes or so. Grill until tender, but not collapsed. Sprinkle with sesame seeds when nearly cooked.
  • While the mushrooms are grilling, fry the marinated tofu in a little oil until heated through.
  • Mash the avocado with lemon juice, salt and pepper.


Assemble the burgers while the tofu and mushrooms are still hot.
A plate, knife and fork will make eating this burger less messy!
